After the loss of his mother, T.J. has to live with his depressed father (Rainn Wilson) and a mysterious rocker (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), and passes the time by stalking the local grocery clerk (Natalie Portman), who still looks delicious even while bagging groceries in ridiculous glasses.
